Gourmet restaurant by the Michelin-starred chef Alexandre Gauthier
The chef’s cuisine
Alexandre Gauthier has created his take on classic cuisine, interpreted by the chef Samuel Pesquet. Featuring traditional dishes with a modern twist which are beautifully presented, his cuisine showcases forgotten recipes and local dishes which are flavourful and hearty. Alexandre’s recipes are also inspired by his father, the chef Roland Gauthier: steak with peppercorn sauce, trout with blue cheese, quail with crayfish. His cuisine evokes memories, the pleasure of rediscovering forgotten flavours and the joy of discovering new ones. Whether you’re coming for lunch or dinner, the gourmet restaurant Anecdote serves dishes which are sure to spark emotion.
A wonderful wine list accompanies these culinary creations which cleverly combine the past and the present with iconic French dishes and contemporary presentation.
The classics
Many of the dishes and desserts created by Alexandre Gauthier have gone on to become classics in their own right.
Savoury dishes include a braised chop for two to enjoy as a couple, mini goujons and sauce gribiche, lightly seared scallops and foaming butter.
Sweet treats include the legendary crêpe Suzette, created by the great Auguste Escoffier, and tarte tatin, which, according to legend, was invented by young ladies of the same name.
